Within the first ten minutes, the giraffeโs squeaker gave up the ghost. By the thirtyโminute mark, one of our puppies had already liberated one of its appendages and was preparing to eat it. When I took the giraffe away, he immediately redirected his enthusiasm toward the mallard and removed a wing.
Our other puppy went straight for the RedโHeaded Chickenโs throat. She succeeded. She was also making impressive progress on opening the back of its neck.
At that point, all three toys had to be confiscated, and the remaining two are still sitting in the box untouched because I value my dogsโ digestive tracts.
To be fair, the toys sound fantasticโliterally. My puppies adored the squeaks, honks, and crinkles. They had a blast tossing them around and sprinting through the house. But the moment they settled down for a chew session, it was game over.
Iโm genuinely disappointed that these toys require constant supervision to prevent accidental ingestion, and that my dogs canโt safely enjoy them the way theyโre meant to.
If your dogs chew even a little, these toys are not worth the investment.
