This particular mushroom is known in German as gluckspilz (which literally means lucky mushroom), grows deep in the forest. Its real name is Amanita muscaria and finding one is thought to be a sign of good luck, similar to the way the Irish view four leaf clovers. It is also a common Christmas time ornament (reindeer like to eat them).

Great fall/winter hat if you’re looking for something that’s not too bulky. I wanted for a winter hat that I could just keep in my inside pocket of my winter jacket - problem was the pocket was not very big. I had another knit cap that just did not fit in there. The Danish Endurance beanie fits the bill! Being so thin, it is not my warmest beanie – but gets the job done! It also feels so soft. I bought another in a different color! The hat arrived with a few creases in it. You could steam it, but don’t really notice any wrinkles when you put it on. I wish they made it in a darker gray/charcoal.
