It has that natural look where you can see the grain and slight variations that tell you it is genuine leather. The bag feels sturdy and well constructed, and the zipper is strong and smooth. I feel like a wider guitar style strap would have added a little more personality and comfort to the design. I may actually swap one from another bag to see how it looks. That said, this is still a beautiful, durable leather tote that feels like it will last for many years. With proper care, this is the kind of bag that will age nicely and develop even more character over time.
