The rim stars are made from a high strength aluminum forging blank. For optimal weight, the spokes are back milled to the classic design and then CNC drilled for a perfect fit. There was a lot of material in here for the money, so a decent value, I used it for some extra sound deadening on the ductwork in my house before finishing the basement, seems to help cut down the echoes coming through the ductwork. Overall the product was good had a few pieces where the sticky tore off the foam and stuck to the paper backing but all in all no complaints.
